BLWに興味があるけど、どうやって始めればいいの？
BLWで必要なアイテムが知りたい！
この記事では、BLWの始め方や初期におすすめの簡単レシピ、あると便利な育児グッズをご紹介します！

始める前の確認ポイント
赤ちゃんと一緒に食事ができる様になるのはとても楽しみですよね！
私は楽しみすぎて4ヶ月の頃からほぼ毎日、離乳食について調べていました！笑
日本の育児書を見ると、5〜6ヶ月から離乳食をスタートすると書かれているので
5ヶ月、6ヶ月という月齢のタイミングで意識する方も多いかもしれません。
でも、BLWでは月齢ではなく赤ちゃんの成長具合でスタートするかを判断します。
赤ちゃんが座れるようになってから(支えがあっても良い)
焦らずに赤ちゃんの準備が整ってから始めましょう。

BLWはイギリスの保健師であり助産師でもあるGill Rapleyさんが提唱したメゾットです。
翻訳された本が出版されていますので、スタートする前に読むことをお勧めします。
ネットでBLWを調べると炎上とか誤嚥等のフレーズが出てきて、少し不安になりますよね・・・
あると便利なアイテムを揃える
BLWの本では特別なベビー用品を買う必要はないと言われていますが、
私はこれらのアイテムがあってよかった！と思うので、それらを紹介します。
1、椅子（ハイチェア）
我が家はリビングにダイニングテーブルを置いて食事をしているので
赤ちゃんも一緒に食事をするとなるとハイチェアが必要でした。
テーブルがついているタイプで、足の高さが調整できるのがおすすめです。
モンテッソーリでは、子供の足が床にきちんと着くことが良いと言われています。
足板の高さが調整できると、成長に合わせて変えられます。
友人からカトージのハイチェアを譲っていただき、10か月頃までこれを使用していました！
食器を使うようになって付属のテーブルに乗り切らなくなったので、
その後はストッケのトリップトラップに買い換えました。
こちらは座面も足板も調整できるのでとても便利！
ドイツ生まれの家族みんなで使えるハイチェアもおすすめ！
色使いがオシャレで、長～く使えます。

2、エプロン（長袖のスモッグタイプ）
BLWを始めた初期の2～3ヶ月はとにかく汚れます。
洗濯が少しでも楽になるように、体全体をカバーできる長袖のスモッグタイプがおすすめです。
我が家はバンキンス一択でした！
防水なので機能面は抜群。色や柄も豊富で選ぶのも楽しかったです。
3、レジャーシート
床掃除がかなり楽になります。
食事前に除菌シート等で拭いておけば、食材が下に落ちてもまたテーブルに戻すことができます。
赤ちゃんは慣れるまで何度も食材を床に落とすので、シートはマストです！
我が家はダイソーで園芸用のシートを購入しました。
使い捨ての養生シートを使われる方もいるみたいです。
後片付けが更に簡単そうですね！
4、蒸し器
蒸し野菜を作るのに便利でした。
これがあれば、家にある鍋やフライパンで蒸し調理をすることができます。
蒸し器やセイロがある方はそちらを使用してください。
電子レンジでの調理も簡単で便利ですが、加熱ムラが出てしまうこともあるので
我が家は蒸し器での調理が多いです。
5、保存容器
仕込んだ野菜や食材をストックするために、保存容器がいくつかあると便利です。
蒸し野菜は蓋付きのガラス容器に入れて、冷蔵庫保管。
魚や肉、ハンバーグ等は小分けにして冷凍保存しました。
ガラス容器ならにおいや色移りもなく、衛生的に保管できるのでお勧めです！
陶器やホーローも良さそうですね。
赤ちゃんは免疫力がまだ高くないので、清潔に・衛生的に保管するのを心がけましょう！
6、コップ
フィンガーフードと共にスタートしたいのがコップ飲み。
モンテッソーリ教育では離乳食を始めるタイミングでコップ飲みの練習を始めます。
いきなりコップ？と驚かれる方もいるかもしれませんが
体の発達的には練習を始められるタイミングなんです。
赤ちゃんの手に合わせた小さめのサイズにするのがポイントです。
モンテッソーリ教育ではガラス製のコップを推奨していますが
我が家では6～10ヶ月の頃はプラスチック製のコップを使用していました。
ハイチェアから落とすと割れそうで怖いので、
コップに慣れてからガラス製に変更しましたよ！
歯医者さんからも、コップ飲みをお勧めされました。
ストローで飲むときは、口の周りの筋肉を収縮させて嚥下するため
異常嚥下癖を誘発しやすくなると言われているそうです。
ストローは3歳以降がいいらしいですよ！
7、ゆくゆく準備したい物
お皿等の食器はしっかりと手でつかんで食べられるようになったらで十分間に合います。
始めたころはお皿からすぐにこぼしてしまうので、洗い物が増えるだけです。笑
スプーンやフォークも同じで、まずは手でつかんで口に運ぶことをしっかりと練習しましょう。
大人が使っているのを見て興味がありそうなら、食材と一緒に用意してもいいと思います。

フィンガーフードを用意しよう
アレルギーの心配の少ない野菜や果物からスタートします。
我が家はブロッコリーから始めました。
ブロッコリーは持ちやすいし、柔らかく茹でても形をとどめてくれます。
色もはっきりとしているので、赤ちゃんも認識しやすいですよね！
茹でブロッコリー
●分量
ブロッコリー：適量
お湯：たっぷり
●調理法
1．ブロッコリーは一房ごとにカットして、水でよく洗う。
大きい房は半分にカットする。
2．鍋にたっぷりのお湯を沸かし、1のブロッコリーを入れ茹でる。
目安は3～5分。
3．柔らかくなるまで茹でたら、ざるにあげ冷ます。
4．清潔な保存容器に入れる。
●注意点
茹でる際は塩は入れていません。
（赤ちゃんは食塩を排出する腎臓が未発達なので、なるべく摂取させないようにしています（
茹で時間は目安です。様子を見ながら調整してください。
蒸しにんじん
●分量
にんじん：適量
（作りやすい目安：1／2本
●調理法
1．皮をむいて棒状にカットする。
※大人の人差し指位の長さ
2．蒸し器に入れ、8～10分程蒸す。
3．柔らかくなるまで蒸したら、ざるやお皿に乗せ粗熱を取る。
4．清潔な保存容器に入れる。
●注意点
茹でたり電子レンジで蒸してもOK。
蒸し時間は目安です。様子を見ながら調整してください。
バナナ
バナナも最高に便利です。
皮をむくだけですぐに提供できるので、何も準備はいりません。
バナナはとても甘いので、赤ちゃんの食いつきが違いますよ～
バナナを始めて食べた時の娘の反応は今でも忘れられませんｗ
バナナは滑るので、皮つきで提供すると持ちやすいです。
慣れてきたら、皮をむいて掴める長さにカットすると良いです。
他にも初期にお勧めの食材が沢山あるので、どんどん試してみましょう！
・さつまいも
・じゃがいも
・かぼちゃ
・リンゴ
・ナス
・大根
※すべて柔らかく蒸す又は茹でる。
ポイント
一緒に食べる
赤ちゃんが家族と一緒に食事の時間を過ごすことで、色んなことを学べます。
- 食べ物の扱い方
- 会話を楽しみながら食事をすること（家族団らん）
- テーブルマナー
始めのうちは赤ちゃんのお手本になるように、大人も手で掴んで食べましょう。
赤ちゃんが真似をして、掴んだり口に運んだりするまで根気よく付き合ってあげましょう。
焦らないこと
赤ちゃんの目の前に食材を提供しても、全く興味を示さないこともあるかもしれません。
手を伸ばしても上手く掴めない、掴めても口に入れられないかも・・・
大人にとっては手でつかんで口に運ぶのは目をつぶってでもできるくらい簡単な事ですが
赤ちゃんはそれを一生懸命に練習しています。
早く食べて欲しいからと大人が手伝ってしまうと、赤ちゃんの練習する機会を奪うことに。
本当にもどかしいのですが、そこはぐっと我慢して見守りましょう。
BLWを始める6ヶ月頃は大半の栄養を母乳やミルクから摂取します。
ですので、1口も食べなかった・・・なんてショックを受けなくて大丈夫です！
栄養の濃さ
従来の離乳食は水で薄まった状態のピューレ状なので栄養も薄まっています。
BLWでは食材をダイレクトに摂取できるので、栄養が濃い状態です。
BLWで食べられるようになれば、すぐに食事から様々な栄養素を摂取できるようになるので
焦らずたっぷり練習をしましょう。
目と手と口の強調運動を向上させるために、何度もチャレンジすることが本当に大切です。
栄養の濃さについては補完食も参考になります！
